Hello,
My scenario is as follows: -
We have created a Change Request (doc type ZMCR - copy of SMCR) and a subsequent Change Document (doc type ZMMJ - copy of SMMJ) and for the Change Document we have followed the 'Preliminary Import' route which has successfully moved the transport into the Production system.
The Change Document has then been set to status 'Imported into Production' but we are unable to set the status of the Change Request from 'Being Implemented' to 'Implemented' via the Actions icon? The only option is to select 'Extend Scope'?
Regards
Gary B
Hi Gary,
First of all, please note that you cannot update the status of RfC (ZMCR) from "Being Implemented" to "Implemented" directly. It should be done via the following Change Transactions (ZMMJ in your case). Ideally when you are setting the status of ZMMJ to "Imported into Production" status, status of relevant RfC (ZMCR) should be updated through
SPRO -> Capabilities -> "Change control Managemnt" -> "standard configuration"-> "Change request management framework" -> "Make settings for Change Transaction Types"
Select Transaction Type (ZMMJ) ->Specify Status Attributes -> Select Production Status (E0006) -> Specify Status Setting for Predecessor -> add the following entry
Trans Type : ZMCR
StatusProf: ZMCRHEAD (relevant status profile)
UsrSt : E0005 (Status value for implementation)
As of now, this will not affect the current document, will solve in future documents.
You can use the following option for RfCs to which NCs have been already set to "Imported to Production"
SE38 > CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT > enter/select 'Service Process' Criteria > Make sure 'Set next Status Value is set > suggest running with with 'List Output' set to check what will happen before then running the job 'for real'.
Please be VERY careful with it, as you can create problems by setting Statuses that wouldn't normally be set when processing the transaction(s) individually via WebUI!!

Thanks

Hi, Gary.
There is no PPF action in SMCR for setting status "Being Implemented".
This status is set via ChaRM (not PPF) action "SET_PREDOC" (you can see it in "Make settings for Change Transaction Types" in SPRO). When SMMJ gets status E0006 (imported into production), that action sets status of corresponding SMCR to E0005 (Implemented).
So if you do not have any error messages - you should check that SPRO node.

Artem
Hello Gary,
the problem seems to be related to an incorrect settings in the successor documents for RFC (ZMCR) in in User status E0005 in the predecessor documents of the successor documents.
This can be done on SPRO under Capabilities -> "Change controlmanagemnt" -> "standard configuration"-> "Change request management framework" -> "Make settings for Change Transaction Types"
It could be that the status for predecessor documents (ZMCR) should be set for all the successor documents you probably customized (as an example: YMHF, ZMAD, ZMCG, ZMHF, ZMMJ), should be adjusted in order to specify the closed status.
You can find more details in SAP Note 01707688 - Customized Request for Change transaction cannot be confirmed.
Best Regards
Renato

HI,
What is the error you are getting.?
Have you check the schedule actions block in your RFC whether the actions is being scheduled etc.
Thanks

Hi Gary,
Are you getting any specific error while doing it?
Have u tried executing the program to remove error for RFC you want to change to implemented.
Z_CRM_REMOVE_SYSTEM_ERROR
