Oracle RDBMS on SPARC

Hi, I want to install SM 7.1 on Oracle. I see two RDBMS for SPARC and Solaris in SWDC. Showrev on my server shows -

Release: 5.10

Kernel architecture: sun4u

Application architecture: sparc

Please see picture below.

Which Oracle should I use?

Hi,

You have to download SPARC 64 version of media.

The name of media Solaris x64 is the platform of intel CPU are running solaris Linux platform.

With the details provided I assume yours is SPARC so select 36_1, 2,3,,.

Hi Jim,,

Download the SPAR 64 and also based on the output of uname -r and uname -a for the details of the Solaris version. you can download the respective Oracle and Kernel DVd's.
