How to come back from mulity language to one language e-mail notifications - set standard language

Dear all,

we send e-mail notifications in our GRC Access Request in DE an EN.

The problem is that the the e-mail notifications to the user are send in the language of the approver of the stage.

The result is that international end-user sometimes get notifications in german (if an approver log on in german) and don't understand the e-mail text.

Therefore, we decided to use the EN-texts only.

Does someone know how to set a standard language for E-mail notifications from SAP GRC or do I have to copy the english text into the german text body (SE63)?

BR

Melanie

Hi Melanie,

yes exactly - copy the text via SE63.

Hi Alessandro,

thank you for the reply :-).

An other idea is to allow user to log on in english only.

(reason: text variables like %PROVISIONING" or %REQUEST_TYPE% appear in german)

Hi Melanie,

yes - that's even better as also the adminstrative effort is less than maintaining two languages.

Hi Alessandro,

can you tell me where this setting is?

Is it SPRO -> Governance, Risk and Compliance -> General Settings -> Maintain Supported Languages?

Hi Melanie,

this are the supported languages for Access Control. If you remove all the others beside English the application works only in English. This should work for your requirement.

Hi Alessandro,

I have found an other alternative.

Transaction SICF -> Service GRAC_UIBB_END_USER_LOGIN -> default_host -> sap -> bc

Tab "Logon Data" -> Language "EN".

Now the language is EN and field is greyed out.

Now user can log on in english only, therefore e-mail notifications for users will be send in EN (incl. variables).

The GUI Log on is possible in different language as before.
