We have recently implemented output type SPED for Stock Transport order. This output type triggered inbound delivery creation automatically upon post goods issue of outbound delivery. However, we notice the handling unit that was originally assigned to outbound delivery had been reassigned to inbound delivery. We would like the handling unit to remain assigned to outbound delivery without transferring. For additional information, in our implementation guide, under "Logistics Execution" --> "Service Parts Management (SPM) --> "Cross-Process Settings" --> "Handling Unit Management" --> “Set Lean HU Status Update in Non-unique HU Numbering Scenario” --> "HU ID unique” is ticked.
Does anyone know how can we stop the reassignment of handling unit from outbound delivery to inbound delivery ?
Thanks and Regards

OSS note 965176:
"...When the inbound delivery is created, Handling Units (HUs) are only
transferred from the outbound delivery if either the lean HU status update or
unique number assignment are active for handling units. You can find the
relevant settings in the Implementation Guide under "Logistics Execution ->
Service Parts Management (SPM) -> Cross-Process Settings -> Handling Unit
Management -> Set Lean HU Status Update in Non-unique HU Numbering Scenario".
You should only activate unique numbering if you want to use Handling Unit
Management. Otherwise, use the lean HU status update. If HU management is
active, the status and the history of the handling unit are updated, but there
is no check to see if the handling unit number is unique..."
Please also read the explanation in note 2134002 (Handling Units are not found for a shipment).
