Hi Harshal,

Download the j2sdk.exe from the below link:

http://java.sun.com/products/archive/

Choose J2SDK/J2RE - 1.4 -

>1.4.2_09

And download the j2sdk.exe file and run it.

The java web start will be installed and u can start with ur XI java stack.

Thanks,

Prasanthi.

Hi,

The starting of the J2EE engine is unrelated to Java WebStart.

Java WebStart is used to start java applications, in this case, XI's Integration Repository and Directory. The main purpose and benefit of Java WebStart is to synchronize the libraries (jar files) between your computer and the XI server. So, if there is a new patch installed on the XI server, Java WebStart will download the effected library files from the server to your computer before IR or ID is started.

If the XI J2EE engine is not starting, you can check the logs to determine the cause. Java WebStart has nothing to do with it.

If IR and ID are not starting, then you might check the Preference of Java WebStart to use no proxy (or to use browser settings).

Regards,

Bill
