Master Data API

For a customer requirement we are pulling Key Figure data using the API from the customer IBP system.

We would like to also know how can we pull the Master Data from the IBP using the API.

This master data requirement is stemming to get the Master Data also available for some filtering options etc.

Is there a road map for the future API releases?

Hi Pramod,

This method will require us to configure the HCI to drop a file.

There will be a lot of limitations in doing that, because we will be extracting all the data from the planning area and not just sub set of data.

Also in this case the HCI will be trigger methodology of the job and not the source system extracting this information.

Is there an alternate method to perform this function?

Hi Tushar,

You can also directly interface with on-premise target system via web service call without persisting the file. (see section 2.1.2)

The filter can be applied in HCI to extract sub-set of data from the Master data..

HCI is the preferred mechanism to extract Key Figure and Transaction data.

I didn't understand your comment on 'Trigger Methodolgy'. can you clarify further?
