Server migrate and Upgrade From SAP ECC5 to SAP ECC6

Former Member

We've got a old SAP ECC5 instalation and we are planning to upgrade it

to

the last enhancement of SAP ECC6.

The old SAP system is over a Oracle 9 database with Suse SLES9 operatingsystem and with architecture ia64. The new machine are running with SuseSles 11 Sp3 and architecture x86_64.

You can see that all components should be migrated, operating system,

database and sap.

We have planned to do the migration in two steps:

a) We should install a new SAP ECC5 in the new machine in a oracle 11

database. After we will do a export of the data in the old sap and a

import in the new one. In this step we will migrate operating system anddatabase.

b) We will migrate sap system to the new ECC6.

To go on with this plan we need the installation software of the ECC5

with oracle 11 database in a x86_64 architecture and the software to

install/upgrade to ECC6.

Any suggestion to the migration plan will be wellcome.

Best regards.
