defect recording probelm

Hi All,

I am facing following issue during defect recording. I am not able to find any codes and code groups in the list to enter. I checked in the respective catalog profile (in my case QM0000001). In that catalog profile all types of code groups and codes allowed. Please find the below screen shots...

Kindly help me out so that I can carry out defect recording.

Hi Kumar,

Please use QS41 to create code group + Codes for catalog type "9" [Defect Type].

Once done, it should be available for you to select in your notification.

Hi Arjiit Banerjee,

I agree with you. But more precisely, by this way, you will get code groups and codes available in the system (as defect type). How can you restrict possible values? maybe by plant or material? I found some customizing points throught catalog profile, but i did not success to fix it.

Hi Kumar,

Ref to your screenshot,pls create the Master data (catalog & selected sets)

step-1 - Create Catalog QS41  & assign the defect  details (select catalog type 9,D & E)

step-2 Assign the created catalogs in selected sets.QS51

Note : Catalog is assigned in Client level & Selected set is assigned in Plant level.

you can not manage by selected set for defect type (9).
