Hi All,
I have installed web dispatcher and configured with both abap & Java system.
I want to know is it possible to create alias name for web dispatcher host name.
For example :
web-dispatcher host : http://xxx<FQDN>:81xx/
alias name : http://testwebdis.com
if i give http://testwebdis.com , it will redirect to http://xxx<FQDN>:81xx/ . and i know adding the alias name in DNS entry for webdispatcher server will work. but i want to know it is possible to make this through web-dispatcher.
Regards,
Lakshmanan V
Hello Lakshmanan,
If you want to reach the Web Dispatcher through the alias, the only way to do it is to add the alias at your DNS.
Otherwise, end users will not be able to reach the Web Dispatcher in the first place. Thus, nothing to be done at the Web Dispatcher end.

Isaías

Are you looking to do a URL redirect (aka HTTP/403) to the dispatcher itself for the admin pages?
