I have upgraded from SAP GUI 730 and NWBC 4 to SAP GUI 740 and NWBC 5 respectively. But both are not working. GUI window and NWBC windows are not working. I end up killing the program through task manager. Are there any prerequisites to make both these work? My laptop has 32 bit Windows 7 OS with MS Office 2013. It has Intel processor i3 with 4 GB RAM
.
Any urgent help will be really appreciated.

Gireesh
Dear all,
I have found the problem myself after spending some time on the net and also after getting an error message as attached. This error message appeared almost after 1 hour of entering a transaction code in NWBC. This lead me to search online based on the error message.
This link http://scn/sap.com/community/gui/blog/2014/11/07/sapguilandscapeglobalxml-entries-for-nwbc-and-sap-g... and the installation guide of SAP GUI 740 opened the eyes.
All the problem was getting created due to "NwbcOptions.xml" file in %AppData%/Roaming/SAP/NWBC. This file had so many unwanted entries which were never created and used. Also deleted "SAPUILandscape.xml" and "SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml" files.
After this started SAP Logon PAD and NWBC, these opened without any links in them and the time taken was just a few seconds.
This means, the error is in the links that get created in Landscape files mentioned above. It is expected that the migration program SAP has written to migrate from earlier version of SAP GUI to SAP GUI740 has problems in it.
Problem has thus been resolved.
Thank you Bashir for asking me to reinstall from scratch. This could have also resolved some of the issues, I do not know.

Thank you Bashir once again. I uninstalled everything and installed all over again as suggested by you. I had done this multiple time earlier. SAP Logon has started working now but it is taking more than 15 minutes to start the application. I checked the installation of SAP GUI. I got an error report as attached. Looks like there are some issues with ActiveX controls. Any suggestions on this will be highly appreciated.
NWBC is not working at all. Warning message comes up saying that NWBC.exe may not be trusted. After that it just comes up for few seconds and then vanishes from the Task Manager as well. There is something seriously wrong here. Any help here as well will be highly appreciated.
I am trying to download NWBC separately and install it. If it starts working I will report it here.
Hi Gireesh,
Kindly upgrade your system into 64 bit OS which most recommend to upgrade SAP GUI 7.40 and NWBC 5.0, i hope this may creating problem in your scenario. also check below link

I also discuss this matter with my Basis administrator who told me that SAP GUI mostly support 64 bit OS system.

Thank you once again, Bashir.
I have gone through the link you provided. I have followed those steps rightly already.
I have seen other 32 bit PCs in my group where it is working properly.
This is a recent patch of NWBC available on SAP Support portal. I downloaded that. NWBC started working. But it takes too long time to open the application and process a transaction. It is since 15 minutes now that one transaction of CJ20N has not got published yet on NWBC.
There is something seriously wrong with SAPLogon and NWBC SAP has released. It might be interfering with antivirus, I am suspecting.
Hi Gireesh,
I do not found such type of errors after installing/upgrading SAP GUI 7.40 and NWBC 5.0, there are lot of material available on SCN forum:
