CIF of SNP planned order.

Dear Experts,

How to stop change of source of supply in SNP planned order when Cifing from APO to ECC.

In APO SNP planned order Is created in PPM2-BOM 2 but when we see the same planned order in ECC Production version is PPM1-BOM1.

This is happening only for SNP Planned order. PP/DS planned order are working fine.

If this the standard behavior. How can we stop this from happening.

Hi AKS,

Is not the standard behavior. Check the BOM, routing, work center and production version carefully. Maybe in your production version you use a wrong BOM!

Also, be sure that the PDS in APO is updated.

You can also use priorities for PDS to force the system to choose your preferred production version in APO and ECC.

Hi Mauris,

We are cifing PPM which is converted to SNP PPM in APO.

BOM ,Routing , work center and production version every thing is correct. Its working fine for PPDS order and selecting correct Production version. The only issue is with SNP planned order.

Can we maintain priorities for Production version to force the system to choose in ECC for the planned order cifed from ECC. If yes were to maintain this.

Hi AKS,

Now I see! Try to force with quota on ECC side (the priority is a solution for PDS).

For the preferred version you have to have the biggest quota.

Hi AKS,

Your scenario is exceptional cases.

You have 2 SNP source of supply system will pick the first one. If  you want to transfer to change to production version 2 manually,  then transfer to ECC.

In ECC system updated with production version 1 based on PP configuration. Please check the material master MRP 4 view selection method (Selection by production version) and try to change it to production version 2.

Make sure that your production version 1 and 2 updated with correct master data (BOM and Rotuing).

Please try this and revert back if any concerns.

Hi LV,

We are not changing planned order source of supply manually. The source of supply is randomly picked during planning run. We just want that in ECC SNP planned order shows the same source of supply which is picked during planning run.The reason for this is that in BOM1 and BOM2 many componets are different. So when a planned order on source of supply 2 is created and cifed to Ecc. Planned order always shows source of supply 1 and component list shows component from both BOM1 and BOM2.

The configuration in MRP4 you mentioned will not work in this scenario as system is working perfectly fine for PP/DS orders i.e. if planned order created on source of supply 2 then cifed to ECC, Planned order is showing Source of supply 2 and correct component information.

Is there any configuration for SNP orders which can be done or any way through which we can re-explode planned order in ECC cifed from apo.
