Extract data from Live cache for reporting

Hi,

We have a requirement where we want to extract demand planning data (time series data) & send to ECC system for reporting purpose.

As we understand the data can be extracted from infocube in APO BI.

Is it possible to extract data directly from Live cache? If yes, how it can be done?

Hi Mohit

Yes you can extract the data directly from LC.

You can following below steps to create data extraction from LC and loading the data till backup cube.

You have couple of options, either you can directly extract the data from planning area data source. This option is suitable if you want simply extract the data and can be used by ECC. In case you want to manipulate the time series data, you can loading to cubes with transformation in between. Once you have data into cubes, you can create data source from respective cubes and get the data into ECC system.
