Not able to add partner profile in WE20

Former Member

Hello,

I have to trigger an EDI output from outbound delivery to one of our plants. Plant name=YPRI

When Iam adding a new entry in WE20 with partner no=YPRI and partner type=LS, system is giving an error message "enter permissble partner number".

but when iam using partner no=YPRI and partner type=LS, system is accepting it.

However I want to use partner type =LS. So what settings to be done in system so that system allows us to create partner profile with partner no=YPRI and type=LS.

regards

Pamela

Relevant entry should have been (Logical Systems) missing in BD54.  If not, have a look at the following notes:-

  • Note 803696 - Service provider with numeric key - error E0 342
  • Note 429133 - Error message E0342 when creating a partner agreement

[...]partner no=YPRI and partner type=LS, system is giving an error message "enter permissble partner number".

[...]partner no=YPRI and partner type=LS, system is accepting it.

I'm confused - these two look exactly the same to me...

But most likely, as noted above, you're trying to use the logical system name that does not exist in the system. You might not have authorization to create one, usually Basis team handles that.

Dear Pamela,

From what I have found the error you get is:

"Enter a permissible partner number
Message no. E0342

Please check SAP Note Number 429133 for details on this error.

429133 - Error message E0342 when creating a partner agreement

Please also check if this error is triggered because you are trying
to create the Partner Profile before assigning an 'EDI partner number'
to the House Bank.

Go to FI12
Expand 'EDI partner profiles'
Enter 'YPRI' in 'EDI partner number' and Save.

After you can Click 'Partner Profiles' (WE20)
Crate new profile under 'Partner Type B'
The system should accept the Partner No. 'YPRI' as expected.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Catherine
