Z fields in the table structure

Hello,

We are having the VA01 flavor created. While doing so, we see that there is a need for the "rqty" field(requirement type) from procurement tab and the "Your reference" from the item details-> order data tab, moved into the "All items" table structure of the "Sales" tab.

We were able to simply make the customer material, plant and delivery priority available as they were in the table definition. However, the "rqty" and the "your reference" fields, though standard, are not available at the table definition level in the Sales tab.

We are planning to have them made as a Zfield and make them available in this "All Items" table. Would you agree that this is the best practice?

The business needed the option to be able to update versions against each item using the reference field.

Update:

In order to make the fields editable we need userexit_move_field_to_vbap and userexit_move_field_to_vbkd.  This is in addition to the core mod of screen 4900 in order to add the fields (your reference and rqty) to the "All Items" table control and also to the flow control logic in order to make the fields accessible by the user.

If this is the best practice or is there any other way to have these fields made available at the table control.

Please suggest.
