Process chain hangs and Next process is not triggering

Dear all,

I struck with an issue where process chain is getting hanged  and next process is not triggering .

what i observed is DTP is failed to generate Target Event.

What went wrong !!!!!!!!!!!

Issue is rectified

with the help of basis team.

Hi,

go the DSO manage screen -> check the have any logs ->

right click on the cube -> mangae -> click on the DTP ->  check the any erros.

please share the screen shot better understanding.

Check the SAP Note 1998206 if the job is completed and the process log table not updated.

Hi Manoj,

This issue occurs mainly due to lack of background resources in the system, did you checked number of free process in SM50.

back ground resources are 5/5 are in free.

shall i increase the background resource !!!!!!! and tell you know .

if your dtp loading was done then you can trigger next steps by manual.

After the completion, you can remove your chain from schedule and activate it.

later schedule it. observer your chain on next run.

Yes we can , i have done it manually .

but one process chain hang at dtp of cube then i create index,

it is not set to green and i donot know that indexes are create or not.

leave about hang.

Go to your target and see the latest loaded request was completed or not.

if its completed then fine.

you may created indexes by manual?

if yes then while creating itself you may see the status.

still have doubts then drop index and again create it at cube-->manage-->performance tab.
