am trying to import swcv from dev sld to qas sld...
I tried to export the swcv from dev sld but it gave an error message
so i downloaded to my dektop as a zip file
i login to quality sld.
i saw the import option administartion
but there i see Load CIM model or CIM data
can i import the swcv in my laptop to this location?
will it create any issues...
Hi Midhun,
Actually you can transport SLD objects also using CTS+, is your system configured for SLD objects also?? If configured when you export the software component it will be attached to transport.
If your system did not configured for SLD objects, you can still import manually into QA SLD but it is not recommended. You can manually import like below in SLD.

You can but you don't need to.
How are you transporting the objects? You should be able to transport it form Dev to QA (Make sure that you select the checkbox with software component version definition)

>>>am talking about transferring swcv from one sld to another
Still i don't think you need to that manually.
Just export the software component version from Dev ESR using file system and import in target ESR.
To export - > in ESR go to Tools -> Export design object -> select SWCV -> mode use file system
you are missing the point..
ESR, I will do it that way only..i wil transfer by swcv that way
all the interface, mapping objects will be transfered that way only
but the swcv i created in dev sld has to be there in qas sld also right?
if not the swcv objects will not be referring to any product in sld
that i can do it this way only
>>>but the swcv i created in dev sld has to be there in qas sld also right?
Technically it's not mandatory.
As i said, you can directly export the SWCV from ESR and import it target system. You don't need this information in SLD.
Your interface should work without any issues.
If you really want to maintain this information then you could do so by the import option that you were referring to earlier(sld -> admin ->import)
regarding the ID transport,
its an already working system.
i created an additional business component in dev
four com channels in dev
and two integrated scenarios in dev..
so is it okay if i transport all the seven objects individually..
first export from dev to laptop
then imprt to qas ID from laptop
isn't this the right way to do here
