Runtime objects, such as programs and screens, are automatically regenerated (late binding) when a time stamp comparison between the object and the ABAP Dictionary detects a difference.
As I am new to SAP, I want to know the meaning of the above highlighted statement ?
Hi Abhishek,
SAP system generate the runtime objects, such as programs and screens depend on DB and OS version.
So after doing the any activity such as freshly installed system ,upgrade , migration .you need to run Generation of these using tcode SGEN.
Once you generate these using SGEN it will not be generated again while runtime , SAP system use already generated version ,if there is difference in version(as it compare using time stamp of last run).
It will generate it again while running.
Best Regards,
AKJ
