Required different inspection lot quantity then GR quantity

Hi Experts,

For example, client is receiving raw material in Kg say 1000 kg, which they actually receive in 10 bags. As per ISO 2500, quality department pick 5gm specimen from two sample bags. Following is the scheme example which they follow.

Lot Size In bags

2-8

9-15

16-25

26-50

51-90

91-150

151-280

281-500

501-1200

1201-3200

Sample Size in bags

Now issue is, how could we change the inspection lot quantity when GR is done.

You need to research the use of sampling schemes along with sampling procedures.  You don't want to change the inspection lot quantity.  It is the quanitty subject to inspection and controlled by the insepction lot.  It is not the sample quantities.

I recommend you do some more reading of the help files and discussions on sampling procedures an sampling schemes.

Please be aware that (at least to my knowledge) there is no ISO 2500 existing.

I am aware of

  • ISO 2859 (ISO 2859-1 e.g. is for sampling schemes indexed by AQL)
  • IS 2500 (which is most likely the Indian Standard which seems to be referencing to ISO 2859-1)
