hiding the values in F4 help using screen personas

Hello,

We know that we can hide the values of the drop downs and limit them to the values which are relevant to the business. On the same lines, can we also hide the values from the F4 help? Ex: condition types on the VA01 screen- can we hide them based on the required conditions of one business unit/division? There are like 54 condition types across businesses in our organisation and if we are giving them a VA01 flavour for one division (40) and a different VA01 flavour for another division (10), it would make sense to limit these condition types as well to as much as we can.

Your suggestions please.

Thanks,

Gautam

For the described use case, I'd simply convert the condition type text field to a dropdown and offer those conditions that are valid for the division / flavor.

Thank you Tamas. However they will want to see the ID/value pair ex: like the incoterms- they have ZCO and its description which comes up when they click on F4 help. If we have it as a drop down only, will it not just show ZCO (the value id only)?

Usually the description is what shows in the dropdown. but you can display both the actual key and its description if you want. The dropdown has a ShowKeys property, set it to true.
