Differences between 'latest' and 'v1' when registering on SMP 3.0

Hi all,

We have an SMP 3.0 application running in one of our clients, and we are using AuthProxy plugin to do the registration process in our Kapsel Application.

Regarding to the documentation, it's needed to make an HTTP POST call to the SMP server URL in order to create a new APPid connection:

Create Application Connection

Create an application connection and initially set the application connection settings. Because all application connection settings are optional, the minimal body contains no properties at all. Sybase Unwired Platform populates default values as needed.

Perform an HTTP POST request at the following URL:

Documantation says also:

{latest|v1} – version of the service document.

Our question is that we don't know what is this used for, and what is the difference between generating the URL with 'v1' or with 'latest'. In both cases we are able to create and get the APPCID.

¿Could somebody give us more information about this?

Thank you so much in advance, and kind regards.
