How to change role type of existing role in BRM

I need to change role type of an existing role from derived to master role in BRM. How can I achieve that without deleting the role?

Firstly, inheritance link need to be broken.

also, have you tried running auth sync ?

Hello Miha,

The inheritance link has to be broken manually from back-end system using PFCG. And then the role can be re-imported as a single role.

Yes I know that. I first deleted inheritance relationship in PFCG and now I'm traing to do the same in BRM. This is the reason why I posted this question.

Your previous comments says the inheritance link is still present. Is it broken or present?

I don't know of any way to delete inheritance from front-end (BRM).

I was getting the same error but it worked after manually deleting the inheritance link.

Hello Miha,

reimporting the role should work. Remember to remove column named "Master Role" which exists only in derived roles.

Hi Miha,

I do not think, there is a diff.. role type , for a Master role, other than Single. If so, could you first download any Master role, from NWBC and see the type. Then as AB has said, import it, with that Role type.

Sadly it does not work. Reimport ends with error Existing role type DRD and imported role type SIN do not match.
