Stage Status Blocked

Former Member

Hello TM Specialist,

On creation of forwarding order, we observe a "Blocked" status on stage level.

All the necessary data (transportation mode, movement type, source/destination location at stage, different pickup/delivery date -time at stage) are verified and appears correct. So the possibility of missing required data for planning is ruled out. Also, the stage is determined by stage profile and the config setting is set to "relevant for planning". This stage level status block in forwarding order, in turn puts a planning block on the stages at freight unit with no reason.

What can be the other possible reason of such "Blocked" stage status?

Please help.

Thanks and Regards,

Priya

Hi Priya,

When you are creating FWO , the Freight units might have got created based of your FUBR.

Please check the Freight units and check the Source and destination location as you have mentioned in the FWO.

Let me know the findings.

Hi Karthi,

Thanks for your feedback.

As mentioned, source and destination locations are all populated in the freight unit as well as in the forwarding order and that is why the block at stage level of the forwarding order document seems to be mysterious 🙂

Hi,

have you already checked for available notes? Please check this thread, where Bimal mentions some notes, that might be relevant: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3730953

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your input. I have already reviewed below two notes

2072923 - Changing pickup/delivery date to outside Pickup/delivery window triggers execution block f...

2117946 - Same date and time in source and destination creates planning block in Freight Unit stage

I will go through the note 2144577 - FU stage has a planning block with no reason recommended by Bimal in your post reply. This might work. I will check and update on this.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Priya

If these notes don't solve the problem, please let me know if you have multiple stages in the FU.

Hi Bimal,

Thanks for your feedback.

We reviewed the note 2144577 but the cause/symptom that is mentioned in the note does not seem to be relevant in our case. When we create a forwarding order, we enter all the required/necessary data and save the forwarding order. When we review this saved forwarding, we see a "Block" at stage level. We do not do any changes (as mentioned in note 2144577) that will trigger the block at stage level.

Also, we do not have multi stage scenario, just a single stage.

What can be the other possible reasons for such block at stage level?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Priya

Please check whether an ORG unit is available in the FWO. If not, please enter one and check the FU status again.

SP04 note 2031563 can be the cause of the issue.

Hi,

I still feel the issue may be in the data:

Please check the following:

1. Source location and Destination location in the FWO.

2. Stages Source location and destination location. Some of the cases the location may be have <> symbol which may be the root cause.

Can you check and let me know. I had this issue during my implementation.

Hi Karthi,

Thanks for your valuable input.

As mentioned earlier, source and destination location are all available in the forwarding order as well as freight unit documents. So far what we have observed is that the stage status is "Blocked" for all the destination locations which starts or ends with a special characters like (AB$ or #CW).

But now, something that we are looking into is that this behaviour is observed only in development system whereas in quality system, usage of such locations does not block the stages for planning.

Any pointers on possible reasons would be appreciated.

Check class /scmtms/cl_UIH_TRQ_STAUS and method DETERMINE_STAGE_STAUS .

Check if stage is statistical (customer planned for pick up ) and check planning status if it is blocked ?
