How do I apply a SAR file

Former Member

Hi

I need to implement 46C_EMPLOYER_NIC_Workbench.SAR from HRSP SAPKE46CC1. I have downloaded the file to my desktop but I'm not sure what to do next. I thought that I could implement this with snote but can't see how I can do this here ..

Could someone please help me as this is quite urgent.

Many thanks

Siobhan

from where you have downloaded the file? is it from Note attachement or any correction patch? uncar the file using SAPCAR -xvf 46C_EMPLOYER_NIC_Workbench.SAR you will get the extracted files.

Hi Burke

SAR files are deployed with SAPCAR as stated by Bujade.

If the SAR file is part of an SAP note, read the note carefully and follow the instructions.

It is possible the SAR file contains transport request. You can check what it inside a SAR file by using command as <sid>adm user

SAPCAR -tvf 46C_EMPLOYER_NIC_Workbench.SAR

More information on SAPCAR:

http://www.easymarketplace.de/SAPCAR.php

You can also download SAPCAR from the service marketplace or copy it from your SAP system to your laptop so you can deploy SAR files there to see what content is inside etc.

Kind regards
