SAP Fiori for SAP CRM 1.0 SP06 - Odata Activation Error

Hello,

We've recently upgraded from SAP Fiori for SAP CRM 1.0 SP00 to SAP Fiori for SAP CRM 1.0 SP06 and EHP3 CRM 7.0 SPS 7.

After the upgrade, the Odata Service relating to the CRM apps appear to have issues. When trying to Load the Metadata, we see this error:

I tried deleting and re-adding the services and when trying to add we now get:

I've tried checking that the Model and Data Classes are active, however I'm not sure what else to check since these are SAP provided services.

One interesting thing is that the Services for the Launchpad are fine. It's only an issue with the services related to CRM apps.

We actually found some duplicate object left over from an un-needed

note that somehow got through after the upgrade. Once we cleaned those

up, we're able to active the services and check Metadata.

However, we still have an issue with the My Notes and My Appointment

apps

that seem to be caused by the upgrade.

I see the following errors in /IWFND/ERROR_LOG when trying to run both

APPS.

"CRM_ACTIVITY_ODATA 016 cannot be processed in plugin mode HTTP"

See the same thing when trying to access either My Notes or My Appointments

/IWFND/ERROR_LOG

All other apps are working normally.

Yes, the below issues were causing this problem for us:

(1) For my appointment, the error is caused by missing customizing.

Please check in IMG activity Transaction-> Settings for

Activities->Define Settings for "My Appointment" App. You need to

maintain the text type for note, internal/external partner and also

default flag.

(2) For my note app, the issue is strange, it raise above appointment

error as well, currently I don't know the reason. But please maintain

above appointment configuration first and test note service again to

see if error is still there.

Did the app work fine in the SP00?

Is it Hub deployment or embedded deployment?

What is the SAPUI5 library version?

We had no issues activating the Odata services when on SP00.

This is a embedded deployment.

SAPUI5 Library version:  Version:1.28

                                          (1.28.1)

Hi John,

Please clear the metadata cache.

• Transaction: /IWFND/CACHE_CLEANUP on Gateway
• Transaction: /IWBEP/CACHE_CLEANUP on Backend and Gateway
• 2017117 - Resetting the gateway metadata cache following UI add-on upgrade

You also need apply the notes for SAP_UI SP12.

• 2147669 - UI2 Page Building Service cache is not set up
• 2156454 - SAPUI5 upgrade to version 1.28.4
• 2155941 - Suite Page Builder & SPB Admin - Corrections for the disable and enable personalization
• 2146387 - Fix 1.28.3 for UI Add-On 1.0 SP12 in SC: UI2_SRVC
• 2145265 - Invalid URLs for non-Fiori business apps

I've already attempted clearing both of those caches, which didn't solve the issue. I also attempted clearing all caches from that troubleshooting guide.

I've also implemented all the notes listed for SAP_UI SP12 and still facing the same issue.

It says SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP CRM 7.0 SPS 8.

If you look at: 1931218 - General Information: Fiori for CRM

It states that SPS 7 is compatible with UICRM001 SP6:

To run the CRM Fiori Apps with SAP Fiori for SAP CRM 1.0 SP06 you must have installed on your CRM backend:

-       Support Package stack 08 of 'EHP3 for SAP CRM 7.0’ (SAPKU71308) or

-       Support Package stack 07 of 'EHP3 for SAP CRM 7.0’ (SAPKU71307)
