When do we get a Construct Message Error in Transaction?

In SAP MII, when do we get a Construct Message Error in a transaction? I am able to figure out the action block which is configured to show this message when a local variable is becoming 0. What should be the approach to figure out the reason for such an error?

Hi Ancy,

The answer to your question is, depends on situation. Message action block is used when you see in a case where your document may not have any data and the transaction may fail if there are further dependant blocks on the document. In such cases, you add a message to the document so that the document processing doesn't fail and MII treats it as a normal document.

In case you want MII to treat it as Error, use Fatal Error action. Message would not be interpreted as error. So correction to your post, you would not construct a Message Error but Message in a transaction.

Hope this helps.
