Error in the Postprocessing phase - FATAL ERROR: Invalid value '' for 'DialogueValue'

Hi guys,

During an update support packages in the last phase "Postprocessing" using the SUM tool... I'm with an error and because of that I´m stuck in this specific phase.

The error is the following:

Unable to execute the SDT request ABAP operation post-execute on hostname SAPWD01ERP instance 01

Post-Uptime execution of the ABAP upgrade request ABAP has failed

Error from unit observer

Tool died unexpectedly with

FATAL ERROR: Invalid value '' for 'DialogueValue'

Error processing dialog 'UnitWizard'    

I already tried to restart the SUM tool and also the SAP system but unfortunately it didn´t solve the problem.

Can you help solving this problem please?

Hi guys,

Thanks for your tips, but the problem was me all along .

You see, I was not giving any input on that specific dialogue, I was just pressing the [Continue] button, cause I was not using the vertical scrolling on that particular screen and so the error I was getting time and again was "FATAL ERROR: Invalid value '' for 'DialogueValue'".

So, once I chose the dialogue option for (.) Continue and just then pressed the [Continue] button, it was all fine.

Problem SOLVED.

Could you provide me SAPupConsole.log file from ../SUM/abap/log directory.

Error is : FATAL ERROR: Invalid value '' for 'DialogueValue'

What was the last options in SUM dialog selected ?

Hi Miguel ,

Have you tried to open any other sessions for the SUM tool .

Seems a like a temporary issue , Please restart the SUM and try once again
