RFC destination error while importing a client request

Dear Experts,

We are trying to import a Client Export from our Prd system to Development System and we are unable to import the request as it pops up a RFC destination error.

We have checked the RFC in the Dev QAS and PRD related to TMSADM and all of them are working fine

FYI, We are able to release the transports from the development system and it can be moved till qas and prd . So the TMS Configuration is also good.

The data file and co file in the backend of development is the same size as that of the Prd system.

I am really stuck . Kindly suggest a solution . Please find the screenshots while importing

Regards,

Suratharajan .S

Hi,

Login to your domain controller and execute STMS --> System Overview, for the given system check the communication tab if the details are mentained properly.

I think system number is missing in the RFC address details.

Hi Surtha,

Please check the following note:

1888279 - RFC communications error with system/destination

Resolution

  1. Make sure the Server name and Host name in SM51 are both either uppercase or both lowercase (they cannot be mixed) and that the Host name in SM51 matches the Target Host in STMS.

     2.   If needed resolve the Host name in the communication tab manually via the domain controller            but this should not be required if SM51 has Server name and Host name correctly           maintained.

     3. If the issue is cause by missing System No. then please add the system number (again           manually in the communication tab via the domain controller) or else delete the system from           STMS and  re-add it, keeping in mind if the system in question is the domain controller then           you will need to      activate the backup domain controller first.

Thanks

Adil

Dear Deepanshu,

Yes we have the DB on a different server and it is HANA.

We do not have a RFC present in our system. I will look into that requirement also.

our TMS is inconsistent , We are planning to reconfiguring it.

Hi Suratha,

Goto STMS->system overview and select the Communication tab.

Maintained the Instance number of the ASD system.

Once you maintained the instance number , you will able to see it in the RFC ASD.DOMAIN_ASD.

Also distribute the configuration after entering the instance number.
