I have one India Sales organization and 4 different plants which can deliver the goods.
For eg. IS01 = Sales organization. &
P001= Plant 1
P002= Plant 2
P003= Plant 3
P004= Plant 4.
Now the problem here is when i maintain material for combination (MM01) P001, IS01 & DC - 10; the delivering plant in sales org view 1 = P001.
Then, while maintaining (MM01) combination for P002, IS01 & 10, the delivering plant should be P002 but it shows P001. If I change the delivering plant to P002 it also changes the delivering plant in first combination (P001 to P002).
I just wanted to know 1. Is it possible to deliver goods from different plants under 1 sales organization ( I guess yes) ?
2. If yes, then how should i maintain delivering plant in various combination as per my requirement ?
Please provide your suggestions experts ?
Thanks.
It seems, you have not put some efforts to try on your own or searched SCN or Google on how a delivering plant would pop up in sale order automatically. Had you searched, you would have come to know based on three parameters, system would populate the delivering plant and your case is different from your subject which is mis-leading.
You should know that a sales organization can have en-number of delivering plants but from your post, it seems, you were trying to assign multiple delivering plants to same material code which is NOT possible. If that is the case, then you should leave the delivering plant field in material master as blank and key in manually in sale order. Of course, if you want to automate the process, based on business requirement, then you need to go with user exit

Hey Jagadis
Like Arun has mentioned for your problem the solution is not in MMR. Delivery plant in MMR has to be blank in your scenario. Thus, at the transaction level (Order creation) you can maintain the delivery plant manually in the sales order.
Or else Like Arun has mentioned you have to maintain the delivery plant in customer master or customer-material info. That is if goods are always shipped from the same plant for the customer.

Hi Arun, Jobi,
Thanks for your suggestions but if suppose the business scenario is like:
I m in a business of Laptop manufacturing, which gets manufactured in China. After that I import my goods to 4 different locations in India. Let say Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bangalore. And I have maintained this places as plants (D001, M001, K001, B001) but i have only 1 sales org which IS01.
Now while maintaining material LAPTOP MW 1 in MM01 parameters will be like:
Plant: M001
Sales org: IS01
DC: 10
This is to serve my customer in West zone which is nearby Mumbai.
But for serving my customer in Himachal Pradesh, I will definetly deliver my goods from D001 plant in that case my master data for material will be (D001, IS01 & 10) in which case system is not allowing to do. How will i tackle this one.
I got your insights valuable but is there any other way ? or do i have to deal this situation with some custom logic ?

Hi Jagadis,
As I understood your requirement on basis of customer your plant should be different.
For this don't waste your time in MMR.
Please adopt below solution.
1. in your customer master record Shipping tab page of Sales Area Data section you can maintain the delivering plant.
2. if you want to more specific the use Customer Material Information [VD51]
Customer Material Information given first preference and second to your customer master record Third to Material Master record to determine plant in sales order.

Hi,

Yes.

First create a material in MM01 with a combination of P001, IS01 & DC - 10; the delivering plant in sales org view 1 = P001. then you need to extend the same material to below different plants by using MM01 T-coce
P002= Plant 2
P003= Plant 3
P004= Plant 4.
Go to MM01 give the same material press enter it will through warning message "Material type & Industry sector copied from Master record"
then choose same material number and type in "Copy from" then press enter
automatically select view tab will come with previous selection then click on continue.
one more organisation levels tab will open
In copy from option maintain-PLANT-P001/STORAGE LOCATION/SALES ORG-IS01/DC-10
then maintain left side "Organizations level" maintain-PLANT-P002/STORAGE LOCATION/SALES ORG-IS01/DC-10
click on continue.
automatically master data will be copied from earlier material number.
just press enter and save it and repeat the same steps for the other plants P003 & P004 in MM01.
Thanks,
Krishna.

Hi Jagadis,
In Sales: Sales Org 1 view of MMR, which is maintained on basis of Sales Organization and Distribution channel. if these organization level change then you can maintain different delivering plant.
but for same sales org and Distribution channel you can not maintain the different data.
During initial screen you maintain Plant which is not delivering plant it may be manufacturing plant (PP) or staging plant (MM) for that it maintain view Sales: General/Plant View

Hi Jagdis.
As explained by Arun, The delivering plant can be only one for materials in one sales line.
But, the material will be manufactured in different plants as which ever you create it in.
In this case, try making delivering plant an optional field and leave it as blank.
Test by creating sales orders with different delivering plants..and post here
