Consumption of Configurable SFG into Configurable FG

Hi Gurus,

Below are the table in which I have created the FG, SFG, Charaterisctis, class, , Startegies and relationship

Material	FG	SFG
Charateristics  Created	IM4, IM5, IM6	IM4,IM5,IM6
Class used	300	300
Relationship	If Sales Order is created for FG (IM4) then FG(IM4) should consume SFG(IM4)
Strategies Used	20	20

Requirment - customer ordered for FG IM4=100 KG, sales will create Sales order for FG IM4=100KG, After MRP Run system creates the Planned order for FG and SFG, convert 1st SFG planned order into Process order and start production, How system will know that it has to pick SFG (IM4) ? where we can make this relationship and where we will confirue at the time of Sales order.

does this 2 materials have 2 diffrent class or they shared a class?

please change strategy to 25 , which is make to order with configurable material.

After MRP run you will find , plan order with referance to sales order and thats how you will consume the SFG refering to sales order item for a FG refering to same sales order.

Try it and reply with your finds.

Our classes are different , changed the strategy to 25

Created SO-Running MRP-We are getting a dump while running MRP but system is creating the requiremnt and Planned order for FG but not creating requirment for for SFG.

For testing purpose , If I will remove SFG from BOM and run the MRP for only for FG , system is not giving any dump.

Didn't understand the reason
