Using Solution Manager 7.1 Sp12 for changing parameter acrosss the landscape

Hi Experts,

Can we use  a central solution manager system with version 7.1 SP12 to change a parameter of instance profile across the landscape .

We need to change same profile parameters across the landscapes and there are too many system in landscape.

It will be boon for us if you all can guide us for leveraging solution manager to change paarmeters.

I doubt that SolMan can set a profile parameter for ABAP, only pull in the values.

Depending on the system type you might want to consider the following:

ABAP - Scripting | Log into a system and record a rz11/rz10 set of changes.  Do NOT log out before stopping the recording or you will have to perform the recording again.  If you wanted to get fancy with the script you could upload it to run as a EEM and assign it to the SMD agents that are installed to the SAP systems (or should be installed) and make sure to change the frequency that the script runs (as you probably don't want it to change it multiple times in an hour) and when you are done remove the script from the SMD agents.

Another thought might be to have a text file to parse with all the system names and have a OS script remote into all of the systems and modify the profile files for you; but at that point if you don't script in a comment you lose tracking of changes made to the profile.
