Link between LFA1 and VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA

Hi Gurus,

I have Extended data model by adding a custom field.

I have done all  the steps and CVI mapping (BP to Vendor and Vendor to BP) is also done.

The value is getting saved in BUT000 but not in LFA1.

I have appended the field in the structures 'VDMS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA' and 'VDMS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA_XFLAG' as per the 'how to' document.

I am new to MDG and I am not able to understand the link between the structure 'VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA' and the table LFA1.

How mapping the field to the structure 'VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA' will push the value to the table 'LFA1'.

However in my case the value is not coming to the table LFA1.

I would like to know how the value is pushed to LFA1.

Did I miss any step?

Could you please provide your valuable Inputs.

I solved the problem.

Solution:Don't extension fields on table lfa1 or kna1.You can customlize a structure append to INCL_EEW_LFA1、INCL_EEW_LFA1_X、INCL_EEW_KNA1、INCL_EEW_KNA1_X，then update data into LFA1 、KNA1 table will be well.

Hi Sudhir,

I have added the field in BP_CENTRL. SMT mapping is also done. But LFA1 table is not getting updated.

Hi Deepa,

If you want to update in table LFA1, you have to add attribute in entity BP_VENGEN.

Also add in SMT Mapping  'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2API' and 'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2STA'.

Hi Sudhir,

The entry is made in the entity BP_VENGEN as well.

The requirement is in both the directions BP to Vendor and Vendor to BP.

In this case, as per the document '

SAP How-To Guide: Extend MDG-S / MDG-C Data Model by a New Field' only SMT mapping, 'BP_BP_CENTRL_2API' and 'BP_BP_CENTRL_2STA' is only done, so I have also done the same.

I Need to do the SMPT mapping for 'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2API' and 'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2STA' as well or not required??

Could you please provide your Feedback on this.

Hi Deepa,

if you have added attribute in BP_VENGEN, you have to do SMT Mapping for 'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2API' and 'SUPPL_BP_VENGEN_2STA'.

Please do these and see what result it will give.

I have done the suggested mappings but still the same issue. One Thing I would like to know, is it required to maintain same names for the fields in LFA1 and 'VMDS_EI_VMD_CENTRAL_DATA' or not required?
