We have ITSM implemented and is being used by some of the systems in landscape. We have a requirement o add few more systems to add to ITSM. The users of the systems should be able to create incidents, RFCs & UCs in ITSM. We are using Solman 7.1 SP8. Can you please provide with the process documents to implement it. Your hekp is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Venu,

Please note that for CHARM you need to create the project and add the logical components there and activate the charm functionality, you will be then able to create the RFCs and UCs, however For ITSM, as soon as system is managed in SMSY/LMDB, ibase will get generated (governed by IB_GEN_AUTO in t-code DNO_CUST04),

Its always advisable to run the managed system setup (till RFC connections) for the systems you want to include.

For the configuration guides and help, go to below link

Hi Rishav,

Could you please list down the order of the activities to be performed ? Charm & ITSM are already configured and is functional for other systems in the landscape. We just need to add one system to use this existing functionality. Thanks for your help.

Hi Venu,

Please let me know the role of system you want to add and how you are planning to define the transport routes for same.

You need to take the caution here as the existing open cds may effect if not followed properly.

Thanks

Hi Rishav,

The system ECC and is using for finance purpose. Till now we are follwoing transports through STMS only. I am planning to add transport routes in the ECC system and will add domain link in Solman to connect to ECC system transport domain. Is this approach fine ?

Thanks

Venu

Hi Venu,

Yes but I believe the transport routes should be there already, you need not to alter the existing routes if you are not adding/removing any client/system,

Yes you need to link the domain with SOLMAN.

Thanks

Hi Rishav,

Yes, the transport routes are existing already. So, in this case no need to alter existing routes ... just creating a domain link for SOLMAN is enough .. right ?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes,

Please make sure that you have completed managed system setup (for your ECC systems) for charm (atleast till rfc connections)

Important: Check the note if its valid for your system
