How to configure the current idm database connection settings to new one

Hello Experts,

We are using SAP IDM 7.2 and using MSSQL 2008 R2.We are migrating the ip address of the database. Can you help me where i need to change the new connection settings so that IDM and MSSQL connection would be successful.

Hi DP,

Below are the places I would change the database URLs,

1) Connection String

2) Windows RT conn. string

3) Java RT JDBC URL

I do not have screenshot for below,

4) Your portal config: the custom data source you created for IDM

5) In VDS - Change the URL in all the config's deployed (Like GRC-IDM, HCM-VDS etc)

This should suffice. Lets see if others back me up with more places to change the database URL.

Hi DP,

The connection settings are in:

1. The IDM_DataSource in AS Java

2. The connection strings in MMC (Admin and RT)

3. When the RT connection string is changed in MMC you will need to recreate the dispatcher scripts.
