Solution manager key ... is not valid

Hi,

I installed SM on a server and generated a SM key for the SAP ECC system which I am going to install on another server. When I provide the SM key, the installation complains that the SM key is invalid for the host and the central instance 00. Can anyone help me on this?

Hi,

I hope you did not gave proper inputs.

Go to SMSY tcode and give below details

Your system name(host name).

SID(system id).What you are going to give in the installation

Instance number.What you are going to give in the installation

And generate a key.
