Migrate variants during upgrade

Hi,

We are upgrading from APO 3.1 to SCM 5.0 and given that the CVC Creation program has changed from /SAPAPO/TS_PLOBS_GENERATE to /SAPAPO_TS_PLOB_MAINTAIN, all variants created in 3.1 are missing in 5.0 though they do appear in the table VARID (as expected). Is there a migration program which can copy or migrate variants (remember there is one to copy variants for the VERSION COPY job) for the CVC creation program?

Please let me know if anyone has used the program RSR_MIGRATE_VARIANTS in APO, if so, what does it do - not enough documentation around it.

have you checked 626408(recreating variants), 623723 (ASU toolbox)

also there are 2 programs that you use to save the variants.... can you check if you did this?

RASUVAR1 saves your variants on the source system.

RASUVAR2 restores the variants in the target system.

i also see this in an upgrade guide "Errors may occur if a background report was changed by the upgrade, since the report variants will no longer

be correct. If this is the case, you must reschedule the job"
