Hi
In SM50 I see some errors under the field "Err". These are marked in RED.
What is the process to analyze / fix these errors ?
Please advise.
best regards
Ravi
Hi Ravi,
Basically the Err column indicates the number of times a work process has got terminated abnormally due to any type of reasons. The errors for work processes can found using ST11 transaction. But basically you dont need to worry too much if it is dialog or batch process since most of the times the user who was using the processes when the error occured would occured would be aware. In case of update proceesses you should check SM13. But frankly this should not cause too much of a worry as long as you are monitoring Sm50,Sm13,St22 and other monitoring transactions on consistent basis.

If work process is terminated with error and dump then you can update the kernel and dispworkenqueue.

Hi Ravi
Check SM50-->Process->Trace---->Display File(ctrlshiftF8)
You see the Error in this file.
And Also see Work dir(C:usr\sap\sid\Dvbgms00\work)

Hi Ravi,
You can analyse the error logs as below,
1. Using SM50, select the process which u need to analyse
2. Click on the Display file icon ( 4th icon from left)
3. Alternatively login to SM21 to check the error details and time.
4. Note the time in SM21 during the error situation and you can search the activity happened in that process during the error time.
Award points if it clears your query.

The Err is for which Work process? Also check the PID in O/S level, if this is running.
