partial WBS element with wildcard

Hi everyone,

Through CN43N report if i search Projects / WBS like B* or Io*, I get a result but the same search if i do in SAP Adhoc query ( SQ01 ) where wbs element is in the selection screen. I get a message that WBS element B* does't exist. How the same functionality can be incorporated in SAP query as well ?

Hi Gaurav,

Make sure to put the write WBS filed from the tables. I think the tables what your using has more than one entry for WBS. Check with other WBS fields.

Hi Everyone,

Solved.

@Sandeep - There are multiple WBS fields in table, I selected PRPS-PSPNR initially, Using PRPS-POSID, the search with partial WBS element is possible.

Hi Gaurav,

Instead of B* you can use a range from B to BZZZZZZZZ for example, but in more complex cases like *DS*A* it can be more challenging.

I think it is just a feature, same inconsistent between different reports.

Hi Gaurav,

i think * will not work in query. in fact some of standard transaction also do not read * in Selection parameters.
