Hi,
Is there any data size constraint for RFC adapter. We would like to send about 120MB of data from R/3 to XI using an asynchronous RFC. Is that feasible?
Thanks
Ratan
Hi,
I think it is possible, as I know for IDOC there is no problem. As a matter of fact, very fast. However, I must say that for RFC, it will probably be slow. The message will have to go thru the J2EE adapter, then into the XI engine, all will have to use the 120MB of memory for each.
Please let us know your test.
Regards,
Bill

Hey
as all the messages are processed in IS,there is no dependancy of file size on adapters.
the maximum size IS can process depends a lot upon the hardware configurations and performance tuning
u can refer the following links though

/people/alessandro.guarneri/blog/2006/03/05/managing-bulky-flat-messages-with-sap-xi-tunneling-once-again--updated
i think XI should be able to process files on 120MB
thanx
