Unable to open RFC connection to SAP System NSP.

Hi all,

During installation i am getting an error which is as follows,

"Unable to open RFC connection to SAP System NSP.

Solution: Start the system."

And the second problem is that there are no connections shown in SAPGUI.

Please help me out.

Hello Kranthi,

I see many errors in the log file. Are you sure that your SAP system is up and running?

Firstly, you haven't followed the prerequisites which are in the installation guide.

Do check whether F drive is accessible and having sufficent space on it.

Try to login to default client 001 with ddic user with SAPGUI & check its working or not.

Also please let us know is it a fresh installation from SAP Installation CDs or a system copy through export/import method.

This is a fresh installation that I have downloaded from the site as trial basis and then extracted it to a folder, then started installing it for ABAP.

I tried to login into the client in SAPGUI but cant find any connections in it, for entering the client number.

What do you mean by "cant find any connections in SAPGUI for entering the client number"?

Please try following command from commandline

sapgui <hostname/IP address of SAP system> <instance no>
