I am confused between the terms OPInt (Operation Process Intelligence) and IBO ( Intelligent Business Operations). Are they the same ?

Thanks

Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,

in addition to the reply from Gerwin (thanks for that) ,please find in this whitepaper some more information on SAP Intelligent Business Operations powered by SAP HANA containing:

- SAP Process Orchestration

- SAP Operational Process Intelligence powered by SAP HANA

- SAP PowerDesigner

- SAP Event Stream Processing

Best regards,

Stephan

Hi and ,

Thank you very much.

This clarifies. I thought that IBO is the new name for OpInt.

But now, your answers clarify my understanding.

Thanks

Hi Saurabh,

Actually, OPI is part of IBO. In short IBO consists of 3 main items:

1) Process Orchestration (including BPM and BRM);

2) OPI, which enables reporting on the processes in PO (although, depending on how you set it up, you might also report on "other" workflow-sources. In other words, OPI does not solely rely on PO;

3) PowerDesigner, for documenting, modelling, etc;

Hope this clarifies a bit.

With kind regards,

Gerwin
