Hi, I am still old school with Sybase ASE and my preferred way to connect is simply with a dos command prompt for ISQL. Can I connect in a similar way to IQ?
Thanks,

Hi David,
You can use also isql to connect to IQ. Just set up the IQ server to listen on tcp port and add a line to the interfaces file.
But ... not all iq commands will work fine. I have had problems the load table command. You might use it also using isql but you have a lot of problem with defining separators (like new line signs).
Not all might work fine in isql and would only work from dbisql.
Regards,
Adam
