Downloading Diagnosis Dump

Hi experts,

I am trying to download the fullsysteminfodump_xxxxx.zip file which has been collected earlier.
I tried Diagnosis Information > List > Download. 
However, nothing was being downloaded.

Can any share the path for me to download manually from the server? I referred to link below, however, there's no global dir.

Hello Henry,

As per note 1732157 - Collecting support information for SAP HANA.

Collect the dump containing the diagnosis information in HANA Studio.

Download the collection of diagnosis files.

Select the download location for dump files.

Hi Ning Tong,

That's exactly the steps I've taken.
When I selected "Download Collection" and chose the local path where it should be downloaded, nothing was really being downloaded.

However, thanks to the SAP Note. I found the path where the zip file was generated.

/usr/sap/SID/SYS/global/sapcontrol/snapshots

I do not face this kind of problem before, I just guess if you have right permission for the local directory.

I faced a similar issue. I could download zip file (diagnosis file) to my local computer using HANA Studio but it shows 0 bytes on my local computer (although it seems 308,000,000 bytes on HANA Studio).

But the path you provided worked for me. Thanks!

When collecting a full system dump I would always recommend using the OS rather than the SAP HANA Studio. The python dump is far more reliable. see SAP note 1732157
