Webdynpro View problem. Layout tab says 'The page cannot be displayed'

In SE80, When I try to display a view, The LAYOUT tab gives me an error saying 'The page cannot be displayed'.

i have activated all the following services under SICF

/default_host/sap/public/bc/ur

/default_host/sap/public/bc/icons

/default_host/sap/public/bc/icons_rtl

/default_host/sap/public/bc/webicons

/default_host/sap/public/bc/pictograms

/default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro

/default_host/sap/public/myssocntl

/default_host/sap/public/icman

/default_host/sap/public/icf_info

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro

/default_host/sap/bc/wdvd

/default_host/sap/bc/echo

/default_host/sap/bc/error

i also added my system ip address with host name in hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

but no use. can some one help me on this issue. thanks in advance.

Hi,

Just open the command prompt please check the IP address you have maintained in your host is reachable or not

Ping 192...........

If IP is reachable from your network than please check the port parameters is the port is correctly defined, for checking the port open the existing any other application and check the URL, if port is maintained or not.

hi i got this issue resolved, i had to make entry in the hosts file .thanks a lot
