In simple terms Entitlement - What he/she is eligible for  Quota = Leave Quota type.

Let assume that An Organization providing once in a year 24 days Casual leave, monthly is 2 days, Here  24 days entitlement for Year but when it comes to monthly entitlement is 24/12= 2 days.

Employee is entitled for 24 days but Leave type is Casual Leave, We consider it as Quota type in SAP system.

For the same we need to configure the system and integrate with absence type, why we have to integrate is we have given 24 days now employee turn is to avail the 24 days for the same we have to create absence type and integrate with absence quota type then he can avail them, that is up to employee whether he can avail or not but system should be configured.

Hi Jessica

"Quota Entitlement" means how many hours/days of vacation is the employee eligible for. This can be given based on age, seniority, location, nature of employment etc. For example, a company can give 12 days of annual leave for all full time employees and 8 days of annual leave to all its contractors. This specifies their entitlement.

Absence quota specifies the number of hours/days of vacation the employee holds at any point in time. For example, an employee was entitled to 12 days of leave, he took 2 days of leave so now his absence quota is 10.
