Install DB Software Alone

It's fine, you need to select install database software only during the database installation.Could you re-check with the media ID at your end as i suspect issue may with the downloaded media as well.

After checking my Win Registry, I could see wow6432node sub folder under software,

under which my Oracle installation is,

I believe thats what is causing the error,

I think its because my windows is 64 bit, and the Oracle installed is for 32 bit processor.

Could you check the drive where you installed the DB,it should be local ,as the system is unable to locate the drive on which you installed the database.

Does the host have regedit below?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\

sapinst is not able to find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE'sub folder

please give a screenshot for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE and its sub nodes

Please check the PAM and installation document. ECC6 EHP 5 installation Master will not support Oracle 10G. Install oracle 11G and continue the installation.

Unfortunately i'm not agree with this statement,still Oracle 10g installation is available with ECC6.0 EHP5 at SMP ( https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=DISPHIER&HEADER=N&FUNCTIO... ). You could locate the supported Oracle 10g DB with media ID 51031678_* for IDES EHP5 installations at support portal .

Install oracle 11G and continue the installation.

This only applies when you're or performing installations for IDES EHP6 & EHP7 (https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=DISPHIER&HEADER=N&FUNCTIO... ).
