Hi there,

Has anyone gotten this error: error 18456 severity 14 state 5 with logging into the SQL Management Console using any of the MX accounts? According to Google this is a login error but everything seems to be configured correctly.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

You might have a case sensitive SQL server. Check that you are using the correct case for the db PREEFIX.

In my sandbox MXMC_oper is OK, but not mxmc_oper.

Thanks, Ole! That did the trick.  Any idea how to turn it off?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

To change that you need to change the collation of either the server or the database, I am not sure which.

And I have never found a way to change the collation of an existing installation, so if you are in the very early phase you might consider a re-installation.

I have the same problem in my sandbox and try to live with it 🙂

Hi Ole,

There is a process to do it, but I've never gotten it to work

Interesting since I installed using the SQL4SAP script...

I will live with it for this go around.  I'm sure I'll be building more sandboxes...
