What is ECC ? When ECC came into existence and what is the latest version ?

Hay there,

ECC stands for ERP Central Component and you can say it's the new name for SAP R/3, there are two version ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0, both work over the SAP NetWeaver technology.

ECC is a concept that started with myERP 2005,

I remember the release date for ECC 6.0 was Q4 of 2005, wait i'll check...

yep, it was in 24.10.2005 and ECC 5.0 was GA in 28.02.2005.
