Hi,
We have installed solution manager,
and trying to configure it using Tcode SOLMAN_SETUP,
this Tcode is not working, it opens browser fine, but with some warnings:
Then after I input the password and user name of user "ddic" and press the login button the page then goes to "The Website cannot be displayed HTTP500" as follow screenshot:
and if i do refresh it gives me the following error:
pls advise.

Hello Galan,
sorry to hear that. I was able to solve the inital problem by setting up the timeout for the connection to 1200 seconds. It turned out that do to the performance of the solman it took noticeably longer to compile the code and that is why the connection timed out.

I would suggest you to first follow SAP KBA 1630984 - Which Client Copy options to use for SAP Solution Manager to create a new Client ?
& create a new productive client apart from default 000.
From the newly created client share the results again.

Hi,
User "DDIC" isn't allowed to setup the SolMan system.Only an user with "Solution Manager Administration" role can do it.
Also, the recommended client to be used is the 001, not the 000.

There should be an error in ST22, would you provide the details, like the header and the call stack?
Besides that, you may check the latest dev_icf file changed in ST11 of the instance, there would be errors logged if a service is not active in SICF.

Have you activated all the required services in SICF?
Make sure to set the parameter icm/host_full_name and hosts file is maintained, on your system.

Check whether any dumps in ST22.

After i did your suggestion i no longer get the first error i specified at the beginning... instead now i get the below error:
PS. I have downloaded the dump file of the error generated after i tried to run "solman_setup"with transaction (ST22)...
I see that the dump is related to FQDN.
Did you set the parameter icm/host_name_full to a fully qualified domain name?
I would suggest you to go through these notes before modifying the parameter.

Also maintain the hosts file on your system.

HI,
Check the dev_icm at the time of failure after increasing log trace level to 2 reproduce and check the log.
Also check dev_w1 trace file which is referenced in your error.

Did you change the FQDN parameters as was suggested?
icm/host_name_full probably does not have fqdn i.e. url.com or something like that.
