Need to Multi Level Categorization not editable by Status

Hello experts!

We are on 7.1 SP11.  In ZMCR, I have configured the approval procedure determined by multi level categorization.  When the ChaRM status is in "To Be Approved",  it does not make sense to allow the Categorization to be changed since the approvers would change. So, I want to protect the Categorization fields when the status is "To Be Approved".    On a related side note, when you do change the Categorization when the status is "To Be Approved", it causes a short dump. I'm assuming it is because of the dependency on the fields, which makes sense.

My question is how can I change the Categorization fields to not editable by status. The IMG activity "Adjust UI objects by User Status" does not offer the Categorization fields for selection. 

Any suggestions?

You have to do the customized developments (BADI) for same.

Also check the method IF_EX_CRM_ORDER_FIELDCHECK~FIELDCHECK  for same.

The name of badi is

AI_CRM_IM_STATUS_BADI
