Restore 15.2 database to IQ 16 sp 08 server

Hello,

our CT is  going to have 2 weeks gap between test and prod upgrade from version 15.2 to 16 sp08.

I know that restoring database from 16 to lower version is not possible.

But. Is it possible to safely restore 15.2 DB from prod server to IQ 16 server on test server?

If yes, are there any procedures needed to execute?

Or is it enough restore DB from backup and run alter database?

Yes you should be able to restore on IQ 16 sp08.x. Latest is sp08.30.  I would suggest rebuilding all the N-bit indexes are upgrade. For complete steps:

As they are using text indexes do I need to drop and recreate them before i backup DB and then restore it? Or just drop them? as per guide TEXT indexes created in SAP IQ 15.2 are incompatible with later versions of SAP IQ.
